Happy Summer! Things have been exciting in the clinic and we hope you all are staying cool and enjoying the beautiful weather.
The biggest news in our office is that Dr. Leguard became engaged to her partner, Nathan, at the end of June. Nathan proposed on the dock at Dr. L’s family cottage, and organized both families to celebrate together. Dr. Leguard travelled to St. John’s, Newfoundland with her sisters and friends for her sister Ainsley’s bachelorette party at the beginning of July.
Dr. Leguard is off on July 24 (the day before the big wedding!), and departs for Sweden and Denmark with Nathan on July 27 for Nathan’s cousin’s wedding in Tranås, Sweden. To top it all off, Dr. L celebrated her 5 year chiropractic anniversary on July 6. Dr. L is having an exceptionally exciting summer thus far.
Dr. Johnston is having a wonderful summer with her girls, Isla and Alexandria, who LOVE to swim in their pool. The girls are also playing baseball, enjoying the cottage and chasing around their crazy dogs.
Dr. Hubbel is still enjoying his retirement, and has re-landscaped his entire property in preparation for Ainsley & Isaac’s rehearsal dinner and post wedding brunch. He is still formulating plans for a family vacation over the winter break. Dr. Hubbel will also be making a few celebrity appearances at the office to see some of Dr. L’s patients while she is on holidays…
Julie celebrated her granddaughter Chelsea’s 2nd birthday at the beginning of July, and will celebrate her 6 year anniversary at our clinic in August.
Carolyn is looking forward to playing golf with her friends, and recently enjoyed a weekend in PEC with her girlfriends. Her granddaughter Iris is keeping Carolyn busy when she isn’t in the clinic. Carolyn is celebrating her 7 year office anniversary in late July.
Debra is busy as AWP (awesome wedding planner) for Ainsley’s upcoming nuptials, as well as helping Dr. L and Nathan with their important to-do’s before their wedding next summer. Ainsley gets married on July 25 of this year. Chloe, Dr. L’s youngest sister completed both portions of the bar exam in June and is set to start articling at Osler, Harkin & Harcourt (alongside Ainsley) in August.
Adele tells us that she started a new job (at Hubbel & Johnston!) with a FAN-FUNTABULOUS group of women - the most supportive, patient and kind group of teachers. We hope she isn’t just saying that to appease us!! She is the perfect addition to our team!
Louise is planning a trip at the end of August to Quebec and heading to the “end of the highway” along the north shore of the St. Lawrence river in hopes to see whales!
Carleigh is enjoying her summertime with her children, Roger and Delores. She is also celebrating 6 years at our clinic in August.
Karen has made a few celebrity appearances in the clinic this month, but is enjoying her retirement on Rice Lake.
