Welcome May, and all the flowers that came from the many many April showers! Our office will be closed Monday May 20 for the Victoria Day long weekend. Dr. Hubbel, Dr. Leguard and their family will be going to see the F1 Racing Exhibition in Toronto that day… a dream day for Dr. H! Stay tuned for updates.

Dr. Johnston took a vacation in April with her mom, Karen, and her daughters Alexandria and Isla to Myrtle Beach. The girls spent some time on the beach collecting shark teeth (which are black!), swimming in the pool and ruling the greens (mini-putt style). The Johnston-Tannahill ladies enjoyed their girls trip away from Dad, who had to stay home during tax season. Ha!

Dr. Leguard was officially inducted into the Rotary Club of Cobourg on April 26th. Her grandfather, Dr. Hubbel, as well as fellow rotarians President Peter Dounoukos, Beth Selby and Rick Riley presented her with her official Rotary pin and welcomed her into the club. Dr. Leguard was very involved with the Interact Club (in high-school), Rotaract (in university) and now is excited to be a part of the Cobourg Club.

On May 11 our office will be participating in the Cameco Step up for Mental Health 5k fun run/walk. This event will be taking place in Victoria Park, we have a jar at the front desk for anyone who would like to donate to our team. Thank you very much to those of you who have already donated, we appreciate every dollar! Every dollar of the entry fee, plus a matching amount from Cameco, supports the Cameco Fund for Mental Health (established through the Saskatoon Community Foundation). These funds are disbursed annually to organizations undertaking projects that promote or support mental health in Northumberland County.
